Food is actually quite good. The 2.5 hour wait to get it is not, so pack a snack if you're ordering delivery. I called to check the status at an hour and a half and was told it was already on the way. I'm guessing that may have been a fabrication since the pizza has not showed up an hour later. With this kind of customer service there are a lot of better options in the area.

I really like this pizza but this place was very shady tonight when I ordered. On the way home I ordered a pizza. I thought it may have been half price pizza night. When the gentleman gave me my total, the total reflected full price pizza. I didn't question it thinking that I must've had the wrong day for the half price specials. When I arrived I handed the gentleman my credit card and he repeated the full price total. Out of curiosity I asked when half price night was. His response? "It's tonight. Did you want in on that?" Maybe I'm in the minority but I'm kind of floored that I had to ask for the special. To me if you aren't going to give the special automatically perhaps you shouldn't have the special to begin with.

I ordered the chicken Alfredo and it was horrible. Yes they give you a generous portion but it was dry and tasteless. Also the chicken was still lightly pink. I had to make my own sauce and take out the chicken pieces to cook them so I can make the dish edible. That kinda defeats the whole purpose of ordering food when I had to do more work to eat it. The price was reasonable for the amount of food I was given. I paid around 13 dollars with tax. But I highly doubt I will ever come back after this experience.

I always order my pizza "undercooked so the cheese is white on top." Every time. The last two times I ordered the pizza was so overcooked it was much closer to brown, and for all practical purposes, inedible. And this isn't the first time this has happened. At about $25 for a large pizza with delivery, this is more than I spend for a steak at the store, so I expect it to be prepared properly.

Ordered delivery the other night. I had a taste for a good Beef Sandwich & my husband wanted pizza. Well, he liked his thin crust pepperoni but the beef was HORRIBLE!. I could have soled my shoes with it. It was the driest rubberiest beef I have ever had (and sliced too thick too). I ended up throwing out the beef and just eating the bread with the juice which wasn't even flavorful. I don't get it? Don't the owners/managers ever eat their own food to check what the cooks are putting out? Maybe their beef is good but you would never know by the time it is served. The problem??? Leaving the beef sit in the juice on the steam table all night. I worked as a short order cook at Falco's Pizzeria in Chicago many years ago so I know from where I speak. To serve beef properly - have the juice hot . . . then just DIP the beef in for about 30 seconds . . . heats it up, takes away any pinkness of the meat, and coats it with the juice. . . . never overcooked then. I should have called and complained but didn't. In 40 years, the best beef I've ever had (and still is) is at TONY'S BEEF on 70th Pulaski. They are a family owned business that has been around forever and is a landmark! I used to buy it by the pound for my holiday parties. Best Beef on the South Side!!! . . . tender & juicy, not a speck of fat, and flavorful au jus

So, I placed an order today and spent about $60. Obviously we have ate here before and we loved it. Been a customer for many years. Tonight was a joke. Part of our order was a stuffed crust pizza. We came home with a Sicilian pizza. We were bringing it to someone's home for dinner among everything else, so we just made due with it. Anyway, I was kind of annoyed because I was looking forward to trying the stuffed crust. When I called Barraco's I asked the girl who takes orders on the phone if there is a difference between a stuffed crust pizza and a Sicilian pizza because we ordered one and got the other instead. She put me on hold. A man came on the phone with the worst attitude. I first asked why the girl I Already spoke to couldn't help me and he responds with, "She's just the phone girl." Wow. Okay. She must be an idiot since she's only the "Phone Girl." Odds are somewhere along her life she was taught some kind of problem solving skills. That annoyed me more than anything. The man was ridiculous. All I did was acknowledge the fact that we received the wrong food and he didn't even apologize for the confusion. In fact he said, " your version of stuffed crust may not be our version of stuffed crust." Uhm, pretty sure stuffed and Sicilian are two different pizzas. Not everyone is looking for a free pizza. Some of us are just trying to help make your business better. The only reason why I gave 2 stars is because their food is great. However, this guy lost a customer tonight. Well done, sir. I bet the "Phone Girl" probably would have apologized.

Now had tasty take-out pizza from Barraco's twice, so I feel qualified to Yelp it. (I have never been inside the restaurant.) Let's see. The deep-dish is fairly standard stuff: Oodles of cheese, a chewy crust, zesty tomato sauce. No complaints. The thin crust is better, in my opinion. It's cooked just a little past "done" -- so the cheese is a little caramelized and the crust is a bit crispier, and dusted with cornmeal on the bottom. The pepperoni is nice and zesty; the sausage was mighty tasty. It may not be the best pizza in the SW suburbs, but Barraco's is a solid choice and I can definitely recommend it.

Love the thin crust called "around the world." Tasty, fresh toppings and no need to order extras on any of them. Price a little high but most pizza places charge about the same. Enjoy!

Absolutley terrible service. Sat out in patio with my boyfriend and his family for his birthday dinner celebration. Sat there for about 15-20 minutes with no service, although a waitress walked passed us a ton of times. We told the hostess who was very sincere and went about to get our drink order right away! Our server came up to us with every excuse in the book.. shes tired.. no one told her... its not her fault its the hostesses... We were so hungry and thirsty at the time we ordered appetizer right away and asked for bread. 25 minutes later we asked where our brushetta was.. she forgot to put it in.. as well as our bread.. it was a big joke to her.. she just laughed it out. Finally we got it, it was good! Time to order.. which took her so long to take 4 peoples orders. She kept forgetting bread that we kept asking for and refills on water/pop. Time to order some alcohol.. 15 minutes later.. she said the bartender forgot to tell her they were done so they were too watery now and were going to make new ones. It was a terrible birthday dinner... thanks to our waitress who forgot almost everything and looked half asleep the whole time! So unprofessional! It is sad today we will not be back because of the terrible service. We were there for much longer then ever expected and by the time we got our entrees we were so frustrated we wanted to just leave! What was supposed to be a fun dinner turned into a terrible night. Its a shame because the food here is really good! But the service just ruined it all for us. They need to higher an older staff that actually have experience not a young girl who looked hungover from the friday night before!

Had my first Barraco's thin crust pizza today. Loaded with meat but not greasy. Quite tasty and a front runner in the thin crust pizza category.
